Invitation to this Autumn’s quickest 10k race

  • Welcome to this Autumn’s quickest 10-kilometre race: Hässelbyloppet! The race is held on a flat and inspiring course through parts of North West Stockholm.
  • On Sunday 5th of October 2025, the race will be held for the 109th time!
  • This year, the national 10-kilometre road championships will also be held at Hässelbyloppet.

How to enter:

  • You can sign up directly for the race through this link
  • The entry fee depends on when you sign up for the race:
    • November 2 - May 4: 32 euro(17 euro for youngsters)
    • May 5 - August 10: 36 euro (17 euro for youngsters)
    • August 11 - September 28: 40 euro (17 euro for youngsters)
    • September 29 – October 5: 45 euro (22 euro for youngsters)
  • The minimum age for entering is 14 years old (born in 2011 or earlier) and the youth entry fee applies for participants between 14-18 years old.
  • Children under the age of 14 (aged 5-13) can enter the children’s race: “Lilla Hässelbyloppet”
  • When you’ve signed up for Hässelbyloppet, your place in the race is personal and can therefore not be given to someone else.

Race Information:

  • Preliminary start time: first start at 12 pm
  • The main centre for the race is at Hässelby Athletics Track where the race finishes. This is also where numbers are collected, and personal items can be handed in for storage before the race. The address of Hässelby Athletics Track is: Loviselundsvägen 100, which is less than a kilometre walk from Hässelby Gård underground station.
  • The maximum permitted time for completing the race is 2 hours.

The Course:

  • The course is exactly 10 000 m and has been professionally control measured recently. Hässelbyloppet is certified as an approved race by the Swedish Athletics Federation.
  • There are 2 water stations along the course.
  • The start is held on a grass field, 400 metres from the Hässelby Athletics Track.
  • The last 300 metres of the race are run on the Hässelby Ahletics Track.
  • Apart from the start and finish, the course is on asphalted park-roads.
  • The relatively flat course with a hard surface enables quick times:
    • Course record women: 33.02, Beklech Gudata 2016 (Ethiopia)
    • Course record men: 29.09, Sebastian Lörstad 2024 (IFK Lidingö, Sweden)

Start Groups:

  • All runners are divided into 8 different Start Groups, starting at 5-minute intervals from 12pm, with the quickest groups starting first. The distribution of target goal times for the start groups will be published on Hässelbyloppets website closer to the event
  • All Start Groups (apart from start group 1 for men and women) are open for everyone.
  • Runners who, in their race entry, have not provided a performance to qualify for Start Group 1 can choose themselves which other start group suits them the best.?
